Should You Check Out Viettrekking Cafe’s Lookout?

The Quick Verdict

If you’re after an aesthetic photo, Viettrekking Cafe’s lookout is undeniably picturesque. But the cafe? I’m not so sure.

We arrived at Viettrekking Cafe in the early morning, just as they were opening. The interior of the cafe is very aesthetic and gives a tranquil vibe. Lining up to order though, I realised that they don’t have a variety of cabinet food available, which was unfortunate, because we were really hungry.

They do offer a buffet breakfast upstairs for 150,000 dong since they’re connected to Viettrekking Sapa Hotel. The spread had a decent variety, though the best window seats fill up fast, even if you go there during the cafe’s opening hours.

If you’re here mainly to see the iconic Muong Hoa Mountain Train, it’s worth dropping by for the view. But you don’t necessarily need to order anything to enjoy it. Sit, soak up the scenery, and then move on to your next stop.
