We arrived at Banh Mi 25 just before lunch. There is quite a line since it’s such a popular and viral spot on TikTok and Instagram!
Some people in our group had already tried it and loved it! They brought us back some, but we didn’t eat it straight away. I think eating the banh mi is best fresh, so we headed there the next day!
There is a place to sit down and eat the banh mi just across the street from the order counter, but it was full when we visited, so we ate the banh mi standing up, watching as the line continued to grow longer!
To be honest, I’ve tried banh mi before at a Vietnamese cafe in Christchurch, New Zealand, and I did not have a good first impression of the dish, but Banh Mi 25 changed my mind! My husband and I ordered the banh mi pate xa xiu (bbq pork with pate) and banh mi bo pho mai (sauteed beef with cheese), and we really enjoyed it!
