We Tried the ‘Viral’ Alluvia Chocolates
The Quick Verdict
Rating: 2.5/5
Personally, I don’t think the taste is worth the hype (oops!)
Influencers on TikTok and Instagram love visiting Alluvia Chocolate shops to pick out colourful, flavoured chocolate squares, so of course we had to see what the hype was about. We stopped by the Hanoi branch near Hoan Kiem Lake to check it out.
Inside, we were greeted by generous free tastings (you can’t miss them!) and shelves full of beautifully packaged chocolate. I love my chocolates, and Alluvia’s range is impressive, with interesting flavours like Chili, Lime, and Ginger. These make lovely gifts, especially since you can mix and match flavours in a box.
That said, I found the taste itself a bit underwhelming. The flavours sounded exciting, but they didn’t quite deliver that rich, decadent chocolate experience I was hoping for. If you prefer bold, deep cocoa notes, these might not hit the mark.
Overall, Alluvia Chocolates are fun for gifting and a quick stop if you’re near Hoan Kiem Lake, but if you’re a true chocolate lover chasing that indulgent flavour, you can probably skip this one.
