Should You Visit Mega Grand World Hanoi?
The Quick Verdict
Rating: 3/5
As long as you know what to expect, I think Mega Grand World Hanoi is worth the hype.
Mega Grand World Hanoi is divisive online — most influencers will recommend visiting here, while others say it’s just an “Instagram trap”. It’s free entry to the attraction, so we decided to give it a visit.
We arrived at 4pm on a Saturday afternoon. Mega Grand World Hanoi has several different sections, so we hired a driver (100,000 VND per person) to take us around. Pricey for seven people, but worth it on such a hot day since he waited and even took photos for us. It also would have been difficult for us to go to the different sections since they were far away from each other!
Most sections were empty, which actually worked in our favor since we got great solo shots of our parents. My favourites were the Little Venice and the Little Shanghai.

We picked a random Vietnamese restaurant in Mega Grand World for dinner and ended up with catfish hotpot restaurant. The food was just okay, but it was tricky communicating with the servers – Google Translate can only go so far!
Starting at 6pm, performances happened every half hour. Since we sat outside, we basically had front-row seats. One set was a hip hop dance routine (🔥), followed by a juggling act from a group of boys.
Overall, I think Mega Grand World Hanoi is worth the hype if you want to take aesthetic pics. Don’t expect an amusement park, otherwise you’ll be disappointed. For families, it’s a fun half-day visit.
