We arrived at Pistachio Hotel Sapa after our overnight van, and this turned out to be the largest hotel we stayed at in Vietnam. The building itself looks gorgeous against the Sapa mountains!
We arrived early in the morning at 6am. Unfortunately, we couldn’t get an early check-in, but I loved how when we arrived, the receptionists informed us that they have showers if we needed to refresh. I think a lot of guests arrive early in the morning, haha.
Room & Comfort
When we were checking in, we were informed that our room was upgraded for our wedding anniversary! We also arrived to a beautifully arranged bed with a personalised message from the team!
I’m 80% sure we got upgraded to an Premium Deluxe Room. Since it was a surprise, I was too excited to notice all the details. The room was very spacious and came with Wi-Fi, TV, a desk, minibar and the usual bathroom amenities, plus two bottles of water and snacks for us to enjoy! Our room came with a balcony overlooking the valley.
There was no problem with noise at all, it felt very private.
Food & Dining
Our stay came with free breakfast, which we tried. There’s a wide variety of food, including Vietnamese and Western food. I was a bit embarrassed to take photos since there were so many people also lining up for food!
The hotel is close to the viral VietTrekking Coffee & Restaurant, which is only a 10 minute walk. Because the hotel is located near the city centre, most restaurants and cafes are walking distance.
Facilities & Services
Pistachio Hotel Sapa has the viral infinity pool I keep seeing on Instagram and TikTok. Part of the reason why we booked the hotel was because my mother-in-law kept seeing it on social media. They also have another pool on the lower floor with shower rooms – this is where they pointed us to shower before our check in. It’s a little bit small, and honestly if there’s another group of people in the pool with you, it is already a bit crowded.
I know they also have a gym and spa services, but we didn’t get to try it, unfortunately.
We also used their baggage storage when we checked in early, and after we checked out. I loved how their check out time is 12pm!
Shout out to their professional team too! Their receptionists are not only professional, they’re also knowledgeable about common traveller problems. We had a problem with one of our flights being cancelled 💀 and they let me use their landline to call the airline several times (they never picked up tho!). They also helped me when the ATM ate my Wise card 😭 All around, great service! They were helpful even when we were checked out already, which I really appreciated.
Fun fact: Their lobby is located on the 6th floor, not the ground floor! All of us made that mistake when using the elevator 😂

Final Verdict
I would definitely stay here again. It’s a bit of a splurge, but if you’re staying here, don’t stay just because of the infinity pool you see on TikTok or Instagram – you might be disappointed at the size. Instead, stay because Pistachio Hotel Sapa is a solid choice for accommodation, providing great amenities and service. It’s a perfect hotel to relax and unwind after a busy day exploring all Sapa has to offer.
